Paper signage

People wanting to post paper signage such as posters and notices must affix the signage to building bulletin boards only. Permission can be requested from each building to place these signs on the designated boards. Any paper signage stuck on walls or areas outside of bulletin boards will be removed daily by Building Services.

Signage on walls

People wanting to affix temporary signage such as banners, vinyl or adhesive fabric to walls on campus must first obtain approval from the marketing department on design and messaging, and then affix only to areas approved by the University Relations Marketing Department and Facilities. Any signage placed outside of the designated areas will be removed daily by Building Services at the signage owner’s expense.

Signage on windows

People wanting to affix temporary signage such as banners, vinyl, adhesive fabric or paint to windows on campus must first obtain approval from the marketing department on design and messaging, and then affix only to areas approved by the University Relations Marketing Department and Facilities. The marketing department can contact the owner of the proposed space, or you can contact the communications person in the college or school directly.

Permission will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis. Install and removal dates must be indicated when submitting artwork for approval. The unit requesting the signage will be responsible for fees associated with installing and removing the signage, as well as making arrangements with the supplier to install and remove the signage on the designated dates. Temporary signage related to marketing may remain in a single space for a maximum of 12 weeks. There is no minimum time period.
